The concept is there, and I even said aloud "This is a good idea," but it's a bit unpolished. The store doesn't work, and I went back to the first level and none of the commands worked at all. Also, a couple ideas, maybe for a sequel?
S.O.S. - go back to the main menu? or pause the game?
In the beginning, be able to type your name in with Morse Code.
Just a couple thoughts.
Store's been fixed. The failure of commands seems to be linked to backing out of a menu; I'm trying to find the exact source of the bug right now.
As for a sequel, I can't say that it's terribly likely. Des and I are both very tired of working on this game (doing something for three days straight, stopping only to eat and sleep can do that to you), and we'd like to do something completely different next.
The game was awesome and fun, and I'm going to clear my data to play it again for a better path. I found a couple glitches in one playthrough. When both your family members are dead, you see the two graves, but the next day heading to work there was only one. And when I chose to go to work to die, for a split second, before I started moving, my child was on my back even though she died.
And for all the morons asking about a replay button. The game is called ONE CHANCE.
I played this for well over 2 hours without getting bored, I got all but 1 achievement, which I'll come back for later. It's extremely addicting, and very fun. I love the graphics and gameplay. Keep up the great work, very awesome game!
Been forever since I've played a Flash game I enjoyed so much.
Definitely a masterpiece, way ahead of its time. I can honestly say that I would never get bored with it. Great job, my friend!
A sequel would be much loved.
Very, very, very addictive. Super fun, great concept, nicely put together. Graphics and animation perfect, programming is flawless, awesome ending.
Extremely hard, but well worth trying. I beat it, and got all 4 medals, level 8 medal drove me insane! Would love a sequel extremely hardcore!
Obviously, I think overall its a great game!
Yet another genius project from you guys. I love it. Fun game, graphics and animation great, programming great! You two are a great team, please keep your games coming forever.
This game was an absolute masterpiece. It was by far one of the best games I ever played, and when I say that, I don't mean one of the best Flash games I ever played, I mean one of the BEST GAMES I have ever played.
It was completely original, and just completely amazing. Programming was remarkable, graphics were breath-takingly perfect.
It was just an all around perfect game. I will happily play it again sometime soon.
I sense inspiration perhaps from Zelda Windwaker?
That was an amazing game. Very, very, very original! It was so good in everyway! Graphics were amazing, animation was amazing, programming was amazing! Perfectly great!
Well the concept itself is good, but the graphics and animation need improvement, as do the controls/programming. It was rather simple, not much going on. I beat it in a good 2 minutes. (Yes, I know, you know it's short, it was supposed to be short, I'm just saying, there was no challenge); perhaps, enemies that can't touch certain forground/background objects? Work your way around them with the camera? Maybe like a level with a basket and you pick up different objects around the screen for points? Idk, I'm just trying to bounce ideas in your direction. A full blown game wouldn't be too bad to play, just make it more entertaining.
Major glitch. I jumped into a group of four of the arrows and it just kept spinning and I was completely stuck. Graphics weren't very good, the programming was basic, and the concept was a complete rip off of Shift.
